We've reworked how you give your AI agents knowledge. Knowledge Bases are now Sources — clearer, more precise, and now able to understand structured data like spreadsheets and product catalogs.

Sources — one place, one item, one page

Each piece of knowledge is now its own Source with its own card and its own details page. That makes it much easier to see exactly what each source is, when it last synced, and what to do with it — update, sync, replace, download, or delete — without digging through a bundle of documents.

Smart Config for spreadsheets

Upload a CSV or Excel file and tell Tactful what each column is for — which to search, which to match on, and which to treat as a numeric range (like price). Your agents then search the right columns instead of reading the whole sheet as plain text, so answers are more accurate and faster. (At least one column must be searchable.)

Shopify sources

Point Tactful at your store's product feed (your …/products.json URL) and it ingests your whole catalog as a ready-to-search source — product titles, descriptions, types, vendors, prices, availability and variants — with the right columns set up for you automatically. Your agents can then answer product questions and make recommendations straight from your live catalog.

• Clearer sync status. Every source now shows exactly where it stands: Requires Sync, In Progress, Synced, or Failed — so you always know whether an agent is answering from the latest content.

• More reliable syncing. Behind the scenes, syncing a source is now more robust — it retries automatically if something goes wrong, and the rest of your workspace stays responsive while a source is processing.
